MEC North-West Makes a Meet and Greet Visit to Bethel in Honour of Dineo Njoro

The Honourable MEC - Mr. Seiko Lehari - paid a courtesy visit to the school in honour of the National Award Winning Dineo Njoro.

He expressed gratitude to the learner and the school for beating other provinces. Dineo obtained position 3 at the National level behind two Western Cape girls, who took positions 1 and 2 respectively. This achievement placed the North-West ahead of other giant urban provinces, viz. Gauteng and Free State.

As a token of appreciation, the Minister Mr. Lehari awarded Dineo R3000.00. It was a happy day for Dineo, Bethel High, Disobotla, Ngaka Modiri Molema district and the North-West province. The minister later invited the principal Mr. F.M. Nthite, Miss Shanganye (the mentor), Dineo herself and the chairman for the SGB - Mr. Motlhoiwa to a well-done function for the matrics of 2018 on the 3rd of January, 2019.

A happy day it was!

PARTICIPATING IS WINNING!!!

Our girls did a project called the Rescue Chamber 2.

This chamber is meant for miners to escape and be safe in the event of C02 leakage underground, the miners would get a long-term supply of oxygen by converting the C02 in 02.

Music

The Marimba Band

It is such a great honour to have been taking this musical journey playing the most entertaining and fascinating instruments ever, being the marimba.

Funny we've grown up together to become the best players ever. Not only did we learn how to play but unity, trust and group work above all...loving each other.

We work towards building each other and growing just by learning music ...remember that music is not just to entertain but it teaches, heals and changes a lot of souls.

We have competed against various groups and individuals we started off at The Talent Freaks talent show in Potchefstroom which took place last year where we did such an excellent performance and we came back with the price of R1000.

This year we carried on having faith and believing that we are the best Marimba group ever. We went on and participated at North West Musikon in Klerksdorp we managed to receive 3 certificates which were 2 Golds and 1 Silver

We will continue to embrace our talent and we are looking forward to sharing the talent we have
